Sacha currently works as a Junior Data Scientist with SynMax Intelligence as part of the engineering team for Theia - a maritime domain awareness product. He works extensively with AIS data to model vessel behaviour and detect instances of spoofed transmissions, providing actionable intelligence to clients.
After graduating from the University of Bristol with a Master's Degree in Computer Science with Innovation, Sacha previously worked at Mott MacDonald as a Graduate Data Scientist. He has had the privilege of working on robust chatbot solutions using the latest state of the art Large Language Models, building APIs and evaluation and testing pipelines, designing solution architecture documentation, anomaly detection and quantification, and software performance optimization.
